Trusts and Estates

The taxation of trusts is generally a complex area. Where a trust has beneficiaries or settlors who are tax resident in multiple jurisdictions for tax purposes, there is a need for specialist tax advice.

CST is able to advise beneficiaries and their trustees on these issues, which will become even more critical once the OECD’s Common Reporting Standard is introduced across 2017 and 2018.

CST Tax Advisors can assist clients with understanding the tax implications of assets held in international trusts and estates and can advise Singapore based clients on how the laws of foreign jurisdictions can apply to the Trust or to family members who live outside Singapore.
